Fargo, the largest city in North Dakota, is located in the valley of the Red River of the North.

Fargo and Moorhead, Minnesota downtown districts are connected by three bridges over the Red River. A renaissance of the area began a few years ago with major construction, reconstruction and historic preservation projects.
